Hi, I'm Brock

My philosophy as a tutor

My Tutoring

Mathematics is a discipline where at its core, a learner should realise the good sense and definite class of a rules. If these setups are basically settled, then a student simply must practice and also get a command of the theme by preforming the standard examples. Being the result of diligent work and building upon a solid basis, a higher value should be expected for sure.

The role of experience in my work

When a kid is really having a hard time, I try to find the right "handle" to operate to enable the child to understand the subject. As a result of my practice from a very long lifework where I kept a mentor role, although beyond education, I can easily testify to the seriousness of numeracy, and also of the importance to set up a scholar's confidence. I strongly think the key to eventually becoming proficient at or good in mathematics is in the teaching; this is not the child's defect if the teaching is low-grade and/or doesn't set up the brain and enable them to "realise it", enjoy it and come to be self-confident at it.

The key to success

I believe that a student will not study in case they are not stimulated and vowed, and one solid motivator for scholars is the link between the teacher and the student. A supportive treatment, and an atmosphere within which the relationship between learner and teacher can progress and develop honest conversation, so the learner is not nervous to address fields of weak point and misunderstanding, will be supplied. I work hard to create a respective and supportive relationship with every student I teach, so that they also can enjoy the fascinating insights into the environment that mathematics and science give me.
I can easily tutor students at any grade of mathematics. I feel that my great advantage is actually to meet the particular student at the grade they currently are, and stimulate them further. I firmly believe that nothing is more vital for great results that the student's self-confidence. Doing this is my objective - to help students get faith in themselves through maths and pass through. Several details please me more compared to when a scholar experiences it and their self-confidence grows.

Hobbies

Hobbies

I have several hobbies of enthusiasm but one of my main ones is nature photography. To me there really is nothing more relaxing and beautiful than being out in nature and viewing the things that God has created for our enjoyment and happiness. If everyone would take more time to value the easy things He has made that they would find true peace and joy in life, I think that.

I do not consider myself to be a professional paparazzo by no means, I enjoy improving my photo taking skills and plan to take a photography class in the near future. Here are just a few examples of my work.

More info about myself

I definitely like maths and am very thrilled regarding the possibility to teach it. The usefulness of it as well as the huge series of applications maths has is fairly astonishing - the more you get to know the more you see how broad the applications of maths are.
